Come fall, no matter what age our
students are, we hear the same mixed emotions in their voices
about the opening of school. They are both apprehensive and
excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead. With these
opportunities come challenges and expectations. For our youngest
ones in kindergarten, it may be learning the foundations of
reading, while those who are studying calculus are solving
proofs.
Like our students, we at Toms River Regional Schools anxiously await the
opening day with great expectations. We set our expectations
high because we know that our students will strive to achieve
them, and we will give them all the support that they need to
find success.
As you prepare for school, think of these expectations as
targets or goals that are attainable. Even those that seem
unrealistic may drive us to achieve something more than we ever
thought possible!
May the excitement and enthusiasm that we all feel at the start
of the year remain fresh as the semesters unfold.
So, welcome to the beginning of a promising school year!
Together, we will achieve great things.
